    Hi,

I just installed CCS v5.1.0.09 (Unlicensed). It has TMS470 4.9.1 and C6000 7.3.1 compilers. I checked the TI website earlier and confirmed that 4.9.3 and 7.3.2 are released. However, when I "check software update" in CCS I don't see updates for those at all.

When I check CCS v4 on my coworkers computer, those updates are available. Is there something I have to do to get the updates on v5?

    Oscar

      Hi Oscar,

some new versions are not on update sites yet and are available through the links here

      http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Compiler_Releases

Installation is through Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Build->Compilers

      Hope this helps

      Lisa

Is there a way for me to get TMS470 4.9.3 for CCS v5? I can't find any executable to download.

      Hi Oscar,

the update channel is the only way to get the newer versions.  If your colleague got it udpating v4 then I am a bit surprised you say you can not get it.

May I ask what updates you see?  What/how have you tried updating?  Maybe screenshots?

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

Since the compiler updates are not available for CCSv5 yet, the only ways you can currently get the TMS470 CGT updates are through CCSv4 updates or by us sending it to you directly. Do you (or a colleague) have a copy of CCSv4 installed through which you can access and install this update?

      Hi,

This is all I see when I do an update via CCS v5.

My coworker has CCS v4 installed and upgrade to the latest ARM & C6000 compiler via the update. I can get a copy of the folder he installed the compiler. I don't know if that works.

      Hi Oscar,

you can go ahead and apply this update, even if it is the wrong one.  Actually some cgt tools are misleading and under and "emulation" update.

Yes, get the folder from you colleague and install it under Window->Preferences->Code COmposer Studio->Build->Compilers and select add.

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa
