    Simulating DM14X in CCS

Brand new user to CCS and the DM147 needs help getting off first base.

I'm trying to simulate "hello world".  It builds correctly in CCS.

Problem is when I try to run it on the simulator.  I get a

"not compatible with any cpu in the target description"

    error.

There is no DM14x variant in the target configuration.  I've tried various C67x+ and C64x+ simulation models, but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    O..

Could you let us know which version of CCS are you using?  In CCS4.x and CCS5.x, you should see TI814x in the configuration.

      CCS 5.1.

Can you point me to simulator files I can download?

      Hi Orion,

I do not beleive there is a simulator/simulation support for you device.

Have a look at this wiki.

      http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/List_of_Simulator

Also if you want to see what is available.  In CCS go to File->New->Target Configuration file.

If for connection you select Texas Instruments Simulator ... you will see a list of simulators available. You can also apply a filter to narrow the search.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa
