when upgrading ccsv5.2 to ccsv5.3, a invalid url notification poped up. Then ccsv5 can never be launched, prompting :" ERROR: unable to find a manifest file, download seems incomplete, cannot processd."

Brett is correct the best thing to do is remove the installation and do a clean installation of v5.3 into a new directory. Are you able to try this and let us know how that goes?
