No 6614 target in CCS 6.0.0

I installed ccs v6.0.0 on ubuntu 12.04.4 64-bit.
Please note that I did not run the install_scripts/install_drivers.sh script as I do not need any USB drivers (using only LAN emulators).

I do not see TCI6614 when trying to setup a new target configuration.
This is strange because I selected multiproc during installation and it should have installed keystone1 and keystone2 emupack.

Attached a picture showing the available software sites after installation.

I tried adding the following software sites from a CCS5.5 installation but TCI6614 still does not appear after doing a check for updates

  • http://software-dl.ti.com/sdoemb/sdoemb_public_sw/ti_emupack_keystone2/eclipse

Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    I see a TCI6614 device on my Ubuntu 12.04/64, therefore I ask:

    - Which device families did you select when installing CCS? I imagine you should have selected Multicore processors, is that so?

    - Can you spot a file named TCI6614.xml in the directory ccsv6/ccs_base/common/targetdb/devices? That would be critical to allow the device to show up in the target configuration editor.

    - Did you install the emulator support for the emulator you are using? I know it sounds strange to ask this (otherwise you wouldn't be able to select it from the drop-down menu on the target configuration editor), but I thought about asking since they are de-selected by default.

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • I reinstalled CCS and I now have 6614 target. Not sure what happened.
