CCS 5.5 invalid install after update

I performed a software update on CCS 5.5.0 running in Ubuntu. The update fails, producing an Invalid Install message. The error message requests files which are attached.

I am able to repeat this by re-installing a clean version of CCS 5.5.0 for linux, then Checking for Updates.

After the update fails further attempts to launch CCS produce the following message:

Thanks,

Ralph

  • Ralph,

I tried to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit but did not run into it.  Can I ask some questions about your environment?

Which flavour of Ubuntu are you using?

Is your network behind a proxy server? (I was suspecting this might have something to do with the update installer not correctly detecting your proxy configuration.)

I'd like to confirm you need to use CCSv5.5.  CCSv6.0.1 should be available later today if that is an option.

If the failure is being caused by an issue between the installer and the proxy configuration, you should be able to install all updates except Grace and XDC tools.
