How to program binary file(.hex) to MSP430

I received a software pack from the customer. There is a hex file inside, I would like to ask how can I program it to the MSP430F5510?

I have downloaded the CCS5.5, but I could not find a programming option of a hex file. I have searched the forum but still cannot find the answer. Or there are other tools for this purpose? Below are some screenshot of my CCS5.5:

Hi Gary

you can also try unifLash. Note, you need the free programmer from report ronin which works with the ti FET. So if you choose that option, just be sure to get the correct version. Lite will do .

I have downloaded the UniFlash. However, when I try to verify a program in the MCU, I got the following error. What could be the cause?

Also when I clock "Verify Binary Program" in the "Program" tag, I need to input the starting address. What is it?

Is it able to program the MSP430 or not? Also, did you check out the other 2 tools?

I have tested the UniFlash and Elprotronic FET Pro-430 Lite.

I cannot program the software in both tools.

I would like to ask is the below pin order correct?

When I use the MSP430Flasher, no matter I try to read or erase the devie, I got the following error:

Hi,

that is a good indication that the USB FET debugger works (the PC software can connects to it), but it fails to read out the device ID of the target device. Most probably this is a hardware connection issue.

Please re-check the JTAG connection as the recommended ones:

Thank you very much for you help. I found out what is the problem after careful reading your link about the MSP-FET430UIF guide. The problem is that I connected the FET430UIF pin 4 to my device. This is an option that power come from the target device. However I assume the power come from the FET430UIF so I did not supply power to my target device. Now I connect pin2 of the FET430UIF to my device and power come from the FET430UIF. Everything go perfect ! :)
