Can we use CCS5.5 for unlimited period with new evaluation kit of TMS320C6747?

In one of new project, we want to buy evaluation kit of TMS320C6747 (Floating Point starter kit). While buying kit, we need confirmation that whether we will be able to use CCS5.5 along with kit for unlimited period for free. This question come to mind because now CCS6.0 is available and kit might be supporting only latest release (not sure). We want to use CCS5.5 because some of other products are developed on CCS5.5. Please confirm if anybody has information on this.

Hi,

You, can use free version of CCS with limited project size. I do not know of the other limitations.

Here are the licensing types:

Free unlimited license is only for kits with XDS100 emulator onboard or an external XDS100.

Hi,

If the kit you are intending to buy has an embedded emulator (such as this kit) or you plan to use a XDS100v2 JTAG emulator, then you will be able to use it with the Bundle License without time limit.

The license terms of the Bundle License are not altered with the release of newer versions such as CCSv6.
