Problems view issue with custom build system

Hi,

I have an issues with problems view in CCSv6.0.0 when using a custom build system (SCons).

When there are compile errors or warnings, these appear as they should.

But the errors remain in the Problems view even if they have been fixed and a new compilation finishes without problems.

This seems to be a CCS related bug, as the CDT version of eclipse does not behave like this.

Do you know of any workarounds to this problem? Will this be fixed in a future version?

Hi,

I have a problem with CCSv6.0.0 in combination with an custom build-system (SCons). After building (not always, but regularly), the following errormessages pop up. This is very annoying, as you have to close the dialog every time it appears.

This seems to be a bug with the CCS, as with the normal CDT eclipse, this error does not occur. Do you have any advice in how this can be avoided? Can we expect a bugfix of this?

Roman,

In general CCS uses stock Eclipse components, therefore I ask: are you using a CCS project or a standard Eclipse C/C++ Project?

The reason of my question is that, if you are using CCS projects, several bug fixes were implemented over the years that are related to the problems view and may be getting in the way of the Scons builder.

If not, then that should not necessarily happen. Are you using the Sconsolidator plugin?

In any case, do you have an example project that shows the behavior?

yes, I'm using a CCS project. For a standard C++ project (we also use the same SCons buildsystem there), the problem does not appear.

I'm not using the Sconsolidator plugin.

I do not have an example project that shows this behaviour, but I might be able to create one if this makes it easier for you to fix the problem.

Hi Rafael,

please find attached a minimal CCS project for which the error still occurs, it consists of only one (almost empty) source file and one (almost empty) SConstruct file. Plus, of course, the project files.

Just extract the zip, open it in CCS and build it: 4405.DefectExampleSconsProject.zip

I really hope this helps you to fix the bug, as the error is very annoying.

Hi Roman,

To avoid the "Internal error" popup, you can:

Right-click on your project, and open the Properties dialog.
Click on the Show advanced settings link at the bottom of the dialog.
Select the Builders node in the LHS tree.
Uncheck the Scanner Configuration Builder checkbox.

this seems to fix the problem.

Just as a matter of interest, what does the Scanner Configuration Builder do exactly?
