CCS v6 does not see DSP/BIOS 55.33.06 installation

I installed CCS v6.0.1.00040 on a PC running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1. Next to the ccsv6 folder, I installed DSP/BIOS 5.33.06. On the same PC there is also a CCS v3.3 installation, although in a different directory.

Problem is that I can't make CCS v6 recognize my DSP/BIOS installation. Unfortunately searching this forum did not provide a solution. System variable BIOS_INSTALL_DIR points to the correct path. If I go in CCS v6 to Windows->Preferences->RTSC->Products, hit the "Install New" button and select the bios_5_33_06 directory then a dialog "Problem Summary" comes up with the following detailed error message:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: RTSC/XDCtools 3.15.2.62 (org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.feature.group 3.15.2.62)
Missing requirement: Model Plug-in 3.15.2.62 (org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.model 3.15.2.62) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.help.appserver 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: RTSC/XDCtools 3.15.2.62 (org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.feature.group 3.15.2.62)
To: org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.model [3.15.2.62]

What could be the problem here? Your help with this is very much appreciated.

Roland

P.S.:

I really fail to see yet any advantage by moving from CCS v3.3 over to CCS v6.  I'm eventually forced to make this step if I do not want to be left out in the long run. No simulator, no RTDX, no CPU load graph, no message log. What the heck is TI's motive for offering less useful tools? Way back, I started with "GO DSP" and every new release of it improved productivity for the developer (RTDX was better than sliced bread). This was all lost by moving to the eclipse based development environment with CCS v4. Am I the only one who feels that way because I can not really find any similar complaints about this sad subject?
