CCS 6.0.1 indexer not working

Hello,

I've installed CCS 6.0.1 and everything works, but the indexer is not working. Trying CCS v5 with the SAME workspace, indexer is working.

So it's not dependent on the workspace, but only with CCS. How can I activate / repair the indexer (rebuild index etc. doesn't help).

    rebuilding the indexer doesn't help (as already suggested). Furthermore the indexer is enabled in the preferences of CCS. In the pptx no more helpful information is given.

    Any other suggestion why the indexer doesn't work? To be more precise, the F3-button for jump between method works, but code completion doesn't work at all (no proposals are given).

  • Bernd, check these settings out:

    Window -> Preferences

    Restart CCS and....

    Check whether enabling these settings resolves your problem otherwise you need to press CTRL+SPACE to have Content Assist trigger..

    thanks for your answer. But I'm for sure that a reinstallation doesn't help as I've installed CCS v6 on one desktop PC and two notebooks and no installation (the latest this morning) supports code completion.

    Maybe there is bug in the package I've downloaded (CCS 6 latest version)? I hope it can be fixed. Otherwise it's useless to work with...

    I guess so, as this seems the only reason. Try downloading a fresh new offline installer.

    Sharing the same workspace folder between two different major versions of CCS is not recommended. I wonder if something got corrupted.

    creating a fresh new workspace have solved this issue. I suppose, as Ki-Soo Lee, that something get corrupted by using the same workspace with two CCS versions...

    This is very likely. We always recommend a separate workspace for a different CCS version. You may have been able to get away with it if it was a minor revision difference (like between 5.3 and 5.5) but not a major revision difference.
