Updating CCS components from local repo (Eclipse)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi there!

I cannot update my CCS-6.0.1 installation because McAffee thinks the files are malicious ("Heuristic.BehavesLike.Win32.ModifiedUPX.N"). This results in the following error message:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

Now, the firewall can't be disabled, but I managed to download the files manually. I want Eclipse to update using these locally stored files!

Is this possible? Where do I place the files, and how do I configure CCS/Eclipse to look for the local files and stop trying to download them?

Greetings from Germany,

Paul.

  • Paul,

How did you download the files manually? Can you send me the directory list of where it's been downloaded? If it's a repository, we can point ccstudio/eclipse to that folder.

    Dansih

  • Hi Dansih,

I mailed our IT guy and he sent back these files to me via mail.

    http://downloads.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/codegen/Updates/p2win32/binary/com.ti.cgt.msp430.4.3.win32_root_4.3.5

These are the links copied directly from Eclipse's error message (cited above).

They don't have an extension, but they seem to be .zip files as 7-zip is able to extract these files. Inside each zip file, there is a folder "downloads", two .exe files and one .xml file. (Not sure if this is relevant info.)

I already tried unpacking the files and adding the folders as new software sources inside Eclipse; but Eclipse keeps complaining about the directories not being proper repos.

    Greetings, Paul

  • Unfortunately, those aren't eclipse repositories. Could you please email me directly at d-innis@ti.com so I can provide you with information on how to run the binaries or download repositories.
