Allen,
CCS uses the first license it finds that satisfies the features that you are using. Thus if you have the 90 day license that is still valid and it finds it first it will keep using that until it expires and then look for another license.
If you access the license dialog from the help menu you can see where CCS is getting the free license from and remove that location. Personally I would just let it use the free license until it expires.

Hello there,
The 90-day free license period is over. I went to see if my CCS 6 license is switched from free to purchased one. The result is still free license.
As expressed before, I suggested a $795 license for possible computer change in the future as I'm the only one that use CCS.
I posted this question before but reserved my conclusion until the suggestion takes effect. It remains the same as free license.
As a firmware programmer, I pay for using software as respect to the peer. But in this case, it seems that paying $795 or none makes no difference to me. Furthermore, I may get blamed if my CEO finds out that the budget was paid in pain.
Is there any solution? Thanks.
Allen,
Lets see if we can't figure out what is going on now that the trial license is expired.
What are you seeing in the bottom right corner of CCS?
Does it say "Unlicensed", "Free License", "Full License"....?
You mentioned $795 in your last post. So I am assuming you purchased a floating license for CCS. A floating license requires you to setup a license server on your network. The license server gets setup with the license file and then in CCS you point it to the license server to obtain the license. This allows the license to be shared by multiple computers. Have you go through the process of setting up a license server?

John
Hi John,
Thanks for your prompt assistance.
The lower right corner on the CCS screen still shows FREE license. Only one person in this company uses CCS. That's me. So I assigned the server IP as that on my computer. The process of setting up a license server? Not likely. It is possible to setup one now?

Hi John,
I came half way of the project to this company. The computer given to me is an XPed one. Though it works well, I'm not sure when it would end up. The locked license limits CCS transiting from one computer to another. That's why I recommended buying the floating licensed version.
The link you sent is being reviewed now. I'd try doing a floating server first. If it doesn't work, I'd ask for help.
Thanks
Allen Huo
