JTAG : Error Connecting to the target

Hello,

I try to update the TIVA from UART with the help of UARTBootloader, It failes somehow.

but next time, when I flash the image of TIVA using JTAG,

It is giving me the following error:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1265 @ 0x0)
Device ID is not recognized or is not supported by driver. Confirm device and emulator configuration is correct, or update device driver.
(Emulation package 5.1.232.0).

The board seems to dead now.

Please suggest, what could be the possible issue ?

Thanks,

Controller's alive or dead? Is it over-heating? Also, are there any shorts on the board?

If No, then there seems to be some other issue. Was the same configuration working well previously?

  • Hi Sanchit,

Alternatively post this at Tiva Forum to get more expert advice.

What you should do is return your Tiva Board to its original state and be able to load programs without problems.

What you can do is use LM Flash Programmer "Erase Entire Flash". After successful "Erase Entire Flash", see if you are able to load example programs like blinky.

What Tiva Board are you using?

  • Hi Kel,

I am using TIVA C Series board.

    TM4C129 series.

We cannot erase flash, unless we connect it. There is a jtag connection failure.

I am unable to connect it via LM Flash and CCS debug.

    Please advice.

    Thanks,
