I have installed Code Composer Studio 6 on a Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS under vmware Player 5.0.2 platform. I was planning on using a XDS200 usb emulator but I discovered the following wiki page that indicates I might have a problem:

"Also, Spectrum Digital emulators are known to have problems in being properly initialized in Linux under VmWare, therefore avoid using them in such environments. The operation under Linux running natively does not have these issues."
Does this imply that the only option for my configuration is to purchase the BlackHawk USB200 emulator?

Or does any USB emulators work at all for Linux under VMware?
