Plotting two different variables on same graph in CCS6

HI

I want to plot two different variables in one graph only, so as to compare both the signals and check the delay between the input signal and transmitted signal.

I have gone through following post already:

But is of no use,as even dual time graph,i get the graphs on different plots so I can not observe the  minute difference.

2. Is there any way by which I can get the voltage values sensed by adc to be plotted on DSO.

Thanks & Regards

Sneha

  • Hi Sneha,

You might've already explored the graph tool & yes you cannot plot 2 variables on the same graph. What is recommended to overcome this shortcoming is to use 2 graphs one below the other and start them simultaneously.

What you can do instead is burst out the ADC digital values through SCI to terminal application and later you can use MS Excel to import these values to plot the graph.
Also, if your controller has a DAC you can feed in the digital value directly.

  • Hi Gautam

I have already tried using the graphs one below the other, but that doesn't help in observing the minute difference of transmission delay between them.Hence,I need to plot these two variables on one graph only.

Getting these plots on DSO would help observing this difference.I am not familiar with DAC of F28335.I will explore the same and try observing the results.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • Hi Sneha,

    I understand!
F28335 does not have a DAC peripheral as such but can try this:

  • Thanks Gautam

Will have a look and inform you soon.
