CCS6.1: Improvements?

Guru 19935 points

Hello,

I realize there's a lot of bug fixes in CCSv6.1, as shown in the release notes.

However, are there any significant changes in CCSv6.1 that affect all CCS users, i.e. C2000, C6000,linux, windows and etc?

Has CCSv6.1 taken advantages of any of the improvements in eclipse kepler (4.4.1)?  It doesn't seem to use eclipse's split window feature.

  • Ok, that answers part of my question.

What type of new features do I get with the integration with 4.4.1 and CDT 8.3.  At least one of 4.4.1 features is not working in CCSv6.1.

We should inherit many of the features in kepler. The split window feature is in CCSv6.1

    Thanks

  • Ok, that answers the reset of my question.  However, I found out on my computer vertiical split is Cntrl shift { and horizontal spit is Cntrl shift _ instead of Cntrl shift [ and Cntrl shift - as stated in the video.

In CCS you can't view two different files using the split screen feature. Does it work the same way in generic the Eclipse IDE?
