Unable to activate free license (missing file)

What version of CCS are you currently using? Are you extending an existing evaluation license?

Sorry, i should have included that, my apologies.

CCS 6.1, this is a brand new install of CCS on a brand new Windows 7 install, trying to get free license for the first time.

Well, i spoke too soon. While i was able to obtain a license, and install it in CCS 6.1, and see "Full License" in CCS thereafter, as soon as i try to communicate with my XDS200 debugger, the license status changes to "Unlicensed" and i get an error message.

The license file that you are point to looks like a CCSv4 one due to the v4 in the name.    I think maybe you went to the link for the v4 extension by mistake.  Here is the direct link to for generating the v6 90 day extension.

When you go there the screen should look like this:

And when you are done there should be a v6 in the filename.
