For TMS320F28027 usage of XDS JTAG emulator

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28027, CONTROLSUITE, LAUNCHXL-F28027

I am using CCS v6

I have selected TMS320F28027 for my application

Now as I see XDS100V2 14 pin and 20 pin are priced same

So which should I prefer going for 20 pin as compared to 14 pin will be any adavntages

Also what is the diffference

Moreover, How should I connect to my Chip with XDS100V2 ( 14 pin or 20pin)

What are the special hardware arrangment should I make on my PCB,  while online debugging and uploading the program in the chip .

How many pins are required of TMS320F28027 to be made free for the XDS100V2

For, C2000 series 14-pin version is enough. You can find the differences here:

You can follow the schematic available here:

    C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\C2000_LaunchPad\LAUNCHXL-F28027\HwDevPkg

Follow the same JTAG connection mentioned above.
