Error "The profile is currently in use"

When starting CCS 6.0.1.40, I was informed that a new MSP430ware is available. I clicked on "Install", but the installation stuck at 66%. After waiting for 2 hours, I closed CCS and started again. Now I am informed, that new products are available - the ones, that are already installed:

When clicking "Finish", I get the errormessage (see box at the top) about some profile being in use. After clicking "Cancel", looking into "Installation Details", the window "Installed software" is empty, "Installation History" leads to the same problem "Profile is currently in use", under "Features" at least the MSP430ware drivers (1.97) are mentioned.

If I click on "Check for Updates", I get the message that no updates are available. The information about the available MSP430ware 2.0 is no longer present. How can I repair this CCS installation?
