Hello sirs, i've succesfully installed Code Composer Studio Version: 6.1.0.00104 on my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS desktop pc, and i'm trying to use it with my board from spectrum digital eZdsp for TMS320F28335; the debugger connection is: "Spectrum Digital DSK-EVM PLUS onboard USB Emulator" and i can correctly see it in the connection list in the targetConfigs .ccxml file , but it seems that there is no linux driver available for it; is this true? i've any hope to make it work or i've to change to WIN os?

Hi Dylan,

Can you try using XDS100 emulator in target configuration ?

Hi,

If your board is this one, unfortunately to date there is no forecast to provide linux support to the XDS510USB emulator embedded into legacy Spectrum Digital development boards.

Hi Gautam, before posting my question I tryied almost all possible USB emulator with no success....

Hi,

Windows is your only option if you want to use the embedded JTAG debugger.

If you want to stay on Linux, purchasing a XDS100v2 JTAG debugger is another option that will also add the flexibility of debugging in your custom prototype in the future. Just be sure to purchase the 14-pin version, as it is suitable for the existing JTAG connector in your dev kit.
