CCS 6.1 - PDF datasheets aren't shown in the TI-Resource Browser

Using the 32 bit ubuntu 14.04 and CCS 6.1 with all updates applied, I get prompted with a Save Dialog box when I click on any PDF file in the TI-Resource explorer. I was trying to view the datasheet for the msp432. Instead it prompts me to do download and save the file instead of displaying it.

Hi,

I have seen this before with other software running on *nix systems, and perhaps this may help: do you have a PDF reader installed in your system and assigned by default to open these file types?

Yes after I download the file and save it, I can use the file manager to double click it and it launches Adobe Acrobat Reader. Originally I had the file associations set to evince (Document Viewer) but thought that might be an issue so I installed acrobat. Installing Acrobat Reader didn't fix it.

BTW: If I add a .pdf file to one of my projects. I can double click on it from the project explorer and it launches acrobat reader.

This is a known issue that will be addressed in the CCSv6.2 update

So I finally figured out how to make this work in 6.1.3. Now that I see how the current solution works (with the Adobe nppdf.so and the NPAPI) I'm wondering what the future solution is going to look like in 6.2. To make it worked I installed a no longer supported and increasingly difficult to find (32 bit only) Adobe Acrobat Reader version. How is PDF file viewing going to be handled in the future in CCS when it moves to 64 bit?

So I just installed the latest CCS 6.2 and it is still broken
