CC6.0 and Compile times...

Since I am new with this product any and all suggestions are welcome!  We installed Code Composer 6 on a Windows 7 64bit PC with an i5 processor and 8.0Gigs of RAM.  The first build of the day is approximately 45 seconds, which is acceptable.  As I continue to modify, and need to rebuild the next will exceed 4.0 minutes plus (and will spike the CPU only) and increase as work/changes continue.  If I reboot the system it will go right back to the 45 second rebuild time. Any settings/suggestions etc??

Thank you all in advance for your assistance!

    Robert,

Some additional details would be helpful:

    - Which exact version of CCSv6 are you using?
    - Do you see this behavior with all projects or just one/certain projects? Is it a large project with a large number of source files? Is it a RTSC project?
    - Do you know if any anti-virus is running on your PC? If so, can you try disabling it to see if it has any impact?

  • Thank you much for responding so quickly. I will get the answers to your questions by Tuesday as the individual using it had left for the long weekend. I ask that you hang in there.
    Thanks
  • I had this problem occur off and on intermittently.  See

It still happens once in a while.  I think restarting CCS usually solves this issue.

I hope it gets solved in this thread.

  • Hi AartiG,

I have some answers to your questions...

The version being used is 6.1.0.00104

There is currently only 1 project, so a comparison isn't possible.

To the best of our knowledge, this is NOT an RTSC project.

Webroots AV was running, it has been disabled today and we will hopefully have an update regarding as to whether or not this has addressed the issue by the end of the day, tomorrow at the latest.

    Thank you,

    Bob
