1553

Does TI have any boards that can handle 1553b communications?

Running 1553 though the search bar does not yield anything,, except other queries from people also asking this.

Thanks,

Nolan

  • Nolan,

Assuming that 1553b communications is a protocol as shown in the Wikipedia page below, we at the CCS forum would not be the most knowledgeable folks to answer this.

    en.wikipedia.org/.../MIL-STD-1553

I strongly suggest you to ask this question in the forum that deals with the device you intend to use.

If 1533b means something else, would you mind providing additional details?

    Regards,
    Rafael
  • Duh, did you like read my question?

Of course I am talking about MIL STD 1553b. What else?

I am trying to find out if TI has " any boards that can handle 1553b communications"

I can't "ask this question in the forum that deals with the device you intend to use" because I have no idea if any such device exists, so how can I know which "forum" or which "device to use". The very question is what, if any, device.

If you can't submit a useful answer to a question maybe you should not answer?

    REgards,
    Nolan

What is obvious for one may not be obvious for others. Reading minds is out of my abilities and jumping to conclusions is something we refrain from doing at this forum. That is why I asked for a confirmation.

If you are looking for a recommendation for a device or HW board, why then it occurred to you to ask this question in the Code Composer Studio forum, an IDE for software development? I was trying to help you redirect this question to a more appropriate forum.

With the level of details you provided, I was trying to help better understand your question and redirect you to a more appropriate forum.

  • So you waste more of my time with this?

The same principle holds, if you can't provide a positive or helpful response, don't.

  • And yet, you are still wasting your time on this thread attacking the person that is trying to help you, as well as blind to the shortcomings of your original question.
