MSP430F6779 compiler and Debbuger

Hi,

I am using MSP430F6779 for metering project, we are developing prototype board, I want to know the compiler verson required for it. Is it fine? If I will use free license CCS. What is the cost effective option for debugger and compiler tool for this development.

Hi,

For free license the limit is 16KB for MSP430.

What about the debugger? shall I use XDS1xx or need any other?
In Document link shared by you, Mentioned "The limit is 16KB for MSP430 and 32KB for MSP432. When using MSP432 you can use any class of debug probe (XDS1xx, XDS2xx, XDS5xx) but the code size limit will be in place."

So clear in MSP432 for debugger, but not clear about MSP430.

For MSP430 you can only use MSP-FET430UIF debugger
