Code Composer will not install

I cannot get Code Composer to install. I have tried several times. Actually the first time it installed but wouldn't load apps from CC App center.

1. Downloaded the off-line installer for windows onto my desktop. Installed the SW. Started the application and tried to install TI RTOS. Failed.

2. Assuming the app might have been corrupted. Re-downloaded the app and verified the MD5 checksum. Now the install freezes at the second screen. It appears to accept the "Next" selection but nothing happens. I have attempted to download and install a total of 3 times. Same result.

3. Read the other posts and then uninstalled CC, removed the directories from C:/Users/,username>, turned off virus checking, reinstalled. Same result. No error messages or any indication of what is wrong.

  • Hi Bill,

You didn't talk about deactivating anti-virus and firewall.

    Gautam
  • I turned off the anti-virus. Are there any error logs that are produced during the install? It would help to cut down the guess work of what the problems are.
  • Hi Bill,

Could you please navigate to %TEMP%, look for the latest bitrock*.log file there and post it for us to examine. It looks like there's something with your proxy settings that's preventing the installer from accessing the app center server and this is blocking the installer from going ahead.

To unblock the installer, could you:

Open a command prompt as admin
Run the installer from the command prompt like this:
    <installer_exe.name> --override-url ""
Please note, those are double dashes before override.

Please let me know if this works for you.
    Thanks
    Danish
  • I tried <installer_exe.name> --override-url "" as administrator, got the same results. Here are the contents of bitrock_installer_5292.log

    Cannot delete file C:/Users/billburn/AppData/Local/Temp/bitrock_installer_5292.log
[14:41:08] You have no AV running.

I cannot add the contents of bitrock_installer.log. When I do the formatting for this reply goes to one character per line and is unreadable. Is there a way to attach files?
  • Hi Bill,

Can you attach the log file? There's a paperclip icon in the bar that will allow you to attach files.

    Danish

  • There should also be another log file in the same directory as the installer, can you attach that as well, please?
