CCS V6 install with windows 8.1

thanks your reply, I have download "vcredist_x86_2012_11.0.61030" and run and I reinstall CCS

install is ok no any error message but when click CCS icon I got error message

I check my windows install file

the "vcredist_x86_2012_11.0.61030" was install

CCS still not work

this message just show one time, when first time run CCS after finish install

if second or more there is no any error message, I can see CCS window is open but just 1 senond

ccs window close automatically

Hi Marco,
Could you please post the logs from your workspace - if you didn't get a chance to change your workspace yet, it should be in the default %USERPROFILE%/workspace/.metadata/.log. Please note, both metadata and log have a period in front of it.

Hi Marco,

Could you also try starting up the eclipse.exe from <installation directory>\ccsv6\eclipse folder? We need to see if the problem is in CCS or if you're missing a system library.

I try starting eclipse.exe,  I can see this logo

and a similar but smaller logo (can't capture) then a window is open just keep 0.5second or less

this window close

It looks like a system library is missing. To verify that, can you please download eclipse from here: https://eclipse.org/downloads/ and install in another folder. Try starting that eclipse.

In the meanwhile, please zip up the contents of the <installdir>/install_logs* folders and attach them here - I'd like to make sure your installation was ok.

I check my disk C, no this directory

there is ccs V6.1 install_logs

Hi Marco,

Please globally set the environment variable TI_APPDATA_DIR to a directory that's safe to write to, and then try starting CCS.  If that doesn't work, then please re-install CCS after this environment variable is set.

In addition, could you open a command prompt as an administrator and type

fsutil behavior query disable8dot3

and then attach the output to this post?
