Im running CCS 6 on windows 10 and everything is really small. For instance when it starts the splash screen appears as normal but after a second or so it shrinks to the size of a thumbnail in the top right of the screen. After it starts all of the buttons are too small to see. None of the windows settings regarding size and resolution seem to fix this. Is this a known issue?

Hi Ryan,
What version of CCSv6 is this? I've been using 6.1.1 on Windows 10 and so far I haven't run into any problems yet. Can you provide a screenshot of the issue?

Im having the same problem with all the icons really small which makes them hard to distinguish on windows 10.

Are you running this in Parallels on OS X by any chance? That was my problem. No real solution either than to set it to a lower resolution.

The resolution is 3000x2000 on the Microsoft Surface book. I tried changing the resolution and the icons are still small.

Unfortunately, you are running into some known issues:

SDSCM00051840 - Provide a large icon set on Eclipse for a better experience with High Definition monitors
SDSCM00052497 - CCS 6.1.1 DPI scaling not working windows 10

The issue is caused by a limitation of the Eclipse version used by CCSv6.

CCSv7 will pick up a newer version of Eclipse that will address these issues. Unfortunately there will be a wait for it since CCSv7 release is targeted for 4Q of this year. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I found a temporary workaround for this problem. We changed the screen resolution to 1920x1080. Right-Click on the Code composer icon-> properties; check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". Lastly, We changed windows 10 settings->system->display "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" to 150% . Now things appear reasonable (at least until the new version of CCS7 is released).

When is the new CCSv7 going to be released?

CCSv7 is planned for release sometime near the end of the year.
