Using loadti to program/load memory with Intel Hex format file

I am loading/programming memory in a device using the loadti program. I am using CCS version 6. loadti is able to load/program memory with .out and Intel hex formatted files. This however is not clear from the readme file present in c:<CCS Installation dir>\ccs_base\scripting\examples\loadti\readme.txt

Does loadti support Intel hex formatted files in CCS Version 5 also?

Hello,
Note that loadti uses the same DSS loadProgram API under the hood for both CCS versions. That API is the same as if you used the "Load Program" feature in CCS. If you were able to load the file in CCSv5, then it will work with loadti also.

Thanks for the response. Does loadti verify that the loading occurred correctly or should another mechanism be used to verify load?

loadti does the same verification as the CCS debugger does on program load, with the default being "fast verification".

I removed the programming power to the memory and used loadti. There were no error messages and the memory was not programmed. Is there a way to enable full verification with loadti.

Yes, it is possible. But it would require a custom modification to loadti:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Loadti

It's basically a debugger option you would need to set;
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Debug_Server_Scripting

The main.js file in loadti area was updated to include:
debugSession.memory.verifyProgram(outFile);

This is resulting in program verification.

Is this an acceptable way to do the verification?

That API will do the same verification as when loading a program. They will both use the default verification setting (fast verification). If you want to do a full verification, you first need to do:

debugSession.options.setString("VerifyAfterProgramLoad", "Full verification");
