CCS 6.1.2.00014 doesn't have 66AK2H14 device (but does have 66AK2H12 twice)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 66AK2H12, 66AK2H14

In a CCS 6.1.2.00014 installation with Keystone2 device support 1.1.5 installed noticed that the 66AK2H14 device isn't shown, and also the 66AK2H12 device is shown twice:

Should one of those 66AK2H12 devices be a 66AK2H14?

When creating a project for a 66AK2H14, I assume it will probably be OK to select a 66AK2H12 device, as the 66AK2H12 and 66AK2H14 only appear to differ in support for 10GB Ethernet.

  • Chester,

Interesting; I do not see the same as you.

Can you check the directory <CCS_INSTALL_DIR>/ccsv6/ccs_base/common/targetdb/devices and see if you have a duplicate 66AK2H12 file?

Well, better yet: do a quick search for the string "66AK2H12" by going to the directory above and issuing:

    user@host$ grep -R -i 66AK2H12 *.xml

If you don't find any duplicate files, then perhaps you have a corrupt target cache. Issue the command "fsclean" from the directory <CCS_INSTALL_DIR>/ccsv6/ccs_base/common/uscif

By the way, you are right: there is no 66AK2H14 device released. Use 66AK2H12 instead.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

Looking a CCS 6.1.2 installation on a different Windows PC I see the same as you, in that only have one 66AK2H12 device shown.

    Thanks, that confirms my suspicion.

I will do so when next have access to the computer on which saw the duplicate entries for the 66AK2H12.

You have confirmed there there must be a problem on my Linux PC, rather than with the released CCS devices files, so consider this thread answered.

On the machine in question there was a duplicate, in that there were two files named 66AK2H12.xml and 66AK2H12-original.xml.

The reason was that previously I had created a modified version of the 66AK2H12 device file when testing a work-around to the problem in https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/453342#pi316318=2

I removed the duplicate file, and the CCS reverted to showing only one 66AK2H12 device.
