Hello,

In CCS UniFlash 4.0 install process, dasm_vcop.exe is detected as a Trojan horse.
Is there any problem to use CCS UniFlash 4.0?
I apologize to attach Japanese scan message; however, it shows dasm_vcop.exe is a Trojan horse and the file is deleted.

Best Regards,

Nomoto

  • Nomoto,

This file is part of our TI Emulators package and it does not carry a virus - I suspect it is a false positive.

I have both nod32 at home and Symantec at work and this issue is not triggered.

    What antivirus is that?

I did a quick search around on the internet and found that 4 out of 55 Antivirus packages are triggering this as malicious.
    www.hybrid-analysis.com/.../f741ef54942c091b8ad9077b3fd56a9403b565b50374968c3b7ad1750f8d210e

One of the reasons is bogus and is related to the version of the package (it thinks that 6.0.407.3 is a malicious address on the internet), while the other shows API calls that reference typical JTAG debug probe functions, such as IsDebuggerPresent or GetProcAddress.

All in all, I have been using the TI Cloud agent without problems so far.

    Hope this helps,
    Rafael
  • Hello desouza-san,

    Thanks for your quick response.
    Antivirus is McAfee.

I can understand it will be a fall positive.
