Could you explain more what you mean by converting your code to a graph?

Are you looking for a call graph or call hierarchy? If so you could try the Call Hierarchy view in Code Composer Studio.

my project includes a 1 pulse per second output , i would like to make sure (before i download the program into the msp430) that the code works properly and it really outputs that pulse . do you have any suggestions for that matter?

Unfortunately TI does not provide simulators that you can run on the host PC. Instead we focus on low cost development boards. For your device I believe www.ti.com/.../msp-ts430rsb40 is the appropriate board.

If you really need an environment that provides a simulator then IAR Embedded Workbench would be an option:
www.iar.com/.../

If your code is small you may be able to use the free code size limited version of IAR.

I am not familiar with their tool.  Their website says they support MSP430.  I found a few threads on it in the MSP430 forum however they didn't have a whole lot of information other than to contact the vendor for more information.
