Thanks for the info.  My program works fine with the inbuilt POT R28.  Now I want to connect external pot without removing the R28 pot from the board. 

I need to access any of the left over available ADC's.  Please suggest.

Assuming you have the Revision D board, ADC-A4 (pin 65 of J1) is available.

You will have to create the connection.

Thanks for the info.  To tap pin 65 of J1, I need to make a new board as the pin in not connected to any of the terminals.

Wondering if I could use Pin 38 of J5 to test the ext pot.  The On board POT could be kept at home position.

Please suggest.

Hi K.V.,

This is not recommended. The on board pot will change the voltage on the external pot in the best case. In the worst case, a short between 3.3V and GND can be created.

There are two options:

A wire can be soldered to pin 65 of J1 on the bottom of the board to use ADC-A4 or
The on board pot can be removed and replaced by the external pot
