CCS: projectspec support for output file names

Hello!

I'm creating a projectspec for a static library project. I have a couple different build configurations, and I'd like to be able to give the .lib from each one a unique name like you can using the archiver options in the properties window. Is there support for this in the projectspec?

I'm not seeing anything that sounds like it in the schema file, but thought I should check in case I'm just missing it.

Unfortunately this is currently not supported.

You can specify the output filename at the project level by using the “artifactName” and “artifactExtension” attributes on the <project> element. The “artifactName” can optionally be an absolute path as well (without the file extension). However there is no way to specify this at the build configuration level today.

I will file an enhancement request to add support for archiverBuildOptions similar to what we have for compilerBuildOptions and linkerBuildOptions.

Hi Aarti,

We are planning to release a software library for C2000 in June, 2017. Is there a chance this feature would be implemented and released in time for us to use it in our release?

We are trying to move from .project to .projectspec and this feature is a requirement for our software release.

Hi Sal,

The plan is to implement this for CCS 7.2, which is currently scheduled for release end May/early June.
