CCS: CCS v5.5 crashing during debug session due to Kernelbase.dll error

Hello, I use CCS v5.5 on Windows 7 x64 machine.

I am running a simulation on one of the TI simulators which takes very long to complete (more than 20 hours). This runs on my office computer so I have to leave it over night. However, CCS crashed two times already for the same reason, a problematic frame in Kernelbase.dll which resides in Windows\SysWOW64. The dump file and corresponding log file are attached below.

Is this a common problem and what can I do to prevent this error? I have to run my simulation to the end.
