CCS/CCSTUDIO: Adware detected in ccs5.4

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello

We discovered than when launching the help from ccs v5.4, an adware is detected by kaspersky system watcher.
The message is:
Detected : not-a-virus:PDM:AdWare.Win32.DomaIQ.dze
Process:
c:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse\ccstudio.exe

Can you certify that this is a bad detection and that we can add an exception in Kaspersky rules? Or should we upgrade our CCS ?

Bests regards

Cedric Boudinet

  • Cedric,

There is no adware built into ccstudio.exe. That is the executable that launches Code Composer Studio.

You could try a newer version of CCS (generally we recommend using the latest) however the newer versions behave similarly in that they startup a JVM, configure a browser... The help in CCS is hosted in browser.

    Regards,
