Hi,

I try to install CCS 7.4.0.00015( taken from here http://www.ti.com/tool/ccstudio-c2000 processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Download_CCS).

I encounter the following error. "CCS_ERROR: Installer failed to install jre correctly.", and I don't know the reason. I found similar threads where it was specified to have temporary directory path without spaces or special characters. But this is not my case.

I attached a zip file with some print screens and log files. CCS_7.4_install_failed.zip

One of our install experts will need to take a look at this. In the log I can see it extracting the JRE and the zip utility thinks that worked fine but then the installer is not able to locate it afterwards.

Hi Mihai,

Could you explain why you needed to set the temporary folder to c:\ccsinstalltemp? Do you have a special setup on your machine that won't permit you to write to %TEMP%?

Also, could you try moving the offline install package from the E: drive to C: drive and try running it? Please make sure there's nothing in the install folder c:\ti\ccsv7.

I did how you recommended above and the installation advanced, but now it is stuck due to below error.

It seems to be a similar issue like the one described in , except that my OS is Windows 7.

Also, I checked the c:\ti\ccsv7\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.icu_56.1.0.v201601250100.jar and it seems that it is a jar with 0 bytes. I suppose that the reason for install issue is that the unpacking the jar doesn't work.

I tried the below command and it worked(the jar was unpacked): "C:\ti\ccsv7\eclipse\jre\bin>unpack200.exe c:\tiinstallkit\baserepo\eclipserepo\plugins\com.ibm.icu_56.1.0.v201601250100.jar.pack.gz c:\ti\ccsv7\eclipse\plugins

Hi Mihai,

Do you have any anti-virus running? Your logs indicate no AV, but I just wanted to double check. That sometimes interfers with running the unpack200.exe. The exception that I'm seeing in the logs is very strange and not something you'd expect - CHILDKILLED 6744 SIGFPE {floating-point exception}, which makes me wonder if the offline installer you've downloaded got corrupted somehow. Could you try downloading again and checking the md5 checksum?

I just noticed that the logs that you posted on Jan 4 show you're installing CCS 7.1.0. Can you verify what version you're installing, please and send the correct logs.

Hi,
Sorry for delay. I was busy at work.
I don't have anymore the logs for V7.4, because in the meantime, I did manage to install the version V7.4 on Administrator user, and I have deleted old installation logs.
I suspect that this was the reason for the installation failure, even the previous user had almost all rights as Administrator (the OS was Windows 7).
On another computer, with Win 10, the installation worked on other user different than Administrator. Moreover, on this machine I had an antivirus running, while on Win 7 machine I didn't had any (and installer confirmed this)

Now, I need to integrate CCS with Matlab 2015b.
I found some links on net, and I think I managed to integrate Matlab 2015 with CCS v5 (on Win7). But on Win10, CCS 5 doesn't work (the debugging is freezes).
So, I am interested if Matlab 2015b works with CCS V7/6. Or maybe you recommend me a link where this is solved.

The first version of Matlab to support CCSv7 is 2017b. There is a table at the link below with more compatibility information.

@JohnS is absolutely correct and the info on the wiki was updated as recently as couple months ago to include MathWorks R2017b.
