CCS/66AK2G12: Do I need a 60 pin connector on my board to use ProTrace?

I see the XDS560v2 PRO TRACE Receiver & Debug Probe which has a 60 pin connector. My K2G target board has a 14 pin connector. Can I retrieve a long PC trace using this? I can get the DSP ETB, but at 15000 entries it's not long enough to show the length of the exception handler. I currently have an XDS-200. What needs to be upgraded?

Unfortunately no. As you observed, the basic JTAG connection can only funnel Trace data through the ETB.

The debug probe you linked allows capturing Trace information to its built-in trace buffer. However, you will need the 60-pin connector on your board and tied to the trace EMU pins of your device.

The PDF includes references to the wave forms on the EMU pins. I suspect that the big connector is required to ensure signal integrity at the high speeds. So thank you, I'll consider this closed.
