I've been trying to connect my XDS560v2 STM over USB to CSS5 for last 2 days. I always get "Error initializing emulator" error message . Here is my configuration

Could you try running SD diagnostic utility as described in this thread? specifically comment from "Posted by Andy replied on Tue, Oct 12 2010 2:37 PM"
Do you mean
> cd <ccsv5_install_dir>/ccsv5/ccs_base_5.0.0.xxxxx/common/uscif > ../../../eclipse/jre/bin/java -jar sd560v2config.jar
There is no such JAR file anywhere under <ccv5_install_dir> folder. (And it is said also in the thread you mentioned, so I think is is missing in this installation package)
Sorry about that. Newer version that I have installed has this utility. Could you check whether folder mentioned below has write permissions. Linux setup instructions were recently updated with text below.
The <install_dir>/ccsv5/ccs_base_5.0.0.000xx/emulation/drivers folder myst be writable for this version. "cd" to this folder and make the folder writeable (sudo chmod og+w . ). If the folder is not writable, XDS560 connection types will not function.
Thanks! It helped a lot!
Upcoming version of CCS package will have this resolved.
