CCS/MSP432P401R: Error in building the project

Part Number: MSP432P401R

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear all,

I am playing with map432 launchpad. I found that when the example code requires to use TI-RTOS, the code cannot build. The error shows as the screen shot below, please kindly let me know which step might be wrong. I have re-install the CCS, and change the workspace folder under the ti folder, but no luck.

I have "simplelink_msp432p4_sdk_2_20_00_12" "xdctools_3_32_02_25_core" under the ti folder, screen shot can show.....

    Hi,

Can you check the thread below that covers a very similar problem as you reported?

    e2e.ti.com/.../475176

Otherwise, can you rebuild the project and copy the console output to this thread? It usually helps diagnose these issues.

    Hope this helps,
    Rafael

    Dear Rafael,

Thanks for your reply, follow the link you sent to me, I notice that I don't have "cygwin" file under C drive. So, I installed cygwin.

I also got an problem that shows me error (0xc0000142), however, I fixed it by uninstalling winavr.

Now, I am able to build successfully if the workspace under ti folder. But when the workspace is not under the ti folder path. I got error shows:

    Hi,

I found the reference below, which also has a few additional details that may influence this.
    software-dl.ti.com/.../sdto_ccs_build-errors.html

Cygwin is not necessary to run CCS - in fact, it can cause the issues mentioned by you if its utilities are in the system PATH. Sorry that the other thread may have mislead you.

CCS comes with its own small cygwin distribution to build these projects, which is typically installed under C:\ti\ccsv8\utils\cygwin

    Rafael

    Hi Rafael,

    Thanks again for your answer.

I have tried to build two example projects, "Powersleep" and "Project_zero", both of them showed me different error messages.

The POWERSLEEP one works fine after I add "C:\" in all the includes in the "MSP_EXP432P401R.c".
    Like this:   #include <C:\ti\simplelink_msp432p4_sdk_2_20_00_12\source\ti/devices/DeviceFamily.h>

The PROJECT_ZERO kept showing me error message as before, I have followed the link you gived, but I cound't figure out my problem.

But both project works if the workspace path is under the C:/ti.

For the time being, I plan to move on and back to this werid issue later, thank you very much for your answers.

    Regards,

    Hongmei
