I realize this is a question coming from way out in left field -- but where do clang and LLVM fit in TI's dev tool chain plans?
http://clang.llvm.org/
http://llvm.org/
An LLVM back-end for C2000 processors would be extremely interesting to us. I'm aware there's been some 3rd-party work on an MSP430 backend (https://www.fooe.net/trac/llvm-msp430/) but haven't looked into it much.
There are no plans to incorporate these technologies into our tool chains. This technology has a lot going for it, so that could change. But not in the near future.
Thanks and regards,
-George
