CCS 6.1.2.00015 WARNING: invalid compiler option -- (ignored)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

Hi,

I am working on a custom CC2640 application, . The project was compiling and working fine until yesterday. I was editing some include options today morning and I am getting a compile warning and error. I am unable to find the cause of this compile error. I have pasted a snippet of the console below. While the error display happens only when compiling peripheral.c, the compiler warning comes up for every file. The compiler used is TI V5.2.5.

I appreciate pointers on tracking this error.

Thank you,

Priya

The error is highlighted in red above, and it may be caused by an enabled option that requires a parameter that was not properly inserted or a build variable that is undefined. Can you carefully check the project options and see if something is missing?

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • Rafael,

I re-started the tool chain from scratch before your response.

I am pasting screenshots of the errors I am currently getting from the linker. Can you explain what they mean?

    Thanks,

    Priya

  • Here is a screenshot of the console log:

  • You have multiple definitions of the function "main" in your project. I would start by looking at whether you really want both Startup/main.obj and Application/main.obj in your project
  • Is Startup/main.obj to important one to keep? All of the application is inside SimpleBLEPeripheral. Let me know if I'm right in removing the Application/main.obj. Where in CCS would I delete the unwanted main.obj?
    Thank you,
    Priya
  • We are experts in the compiler, but not the project you are building.  Therefore, we don't know which main.obj is the correct one.  I suggest you start a new thread in the Bluetooth Low Energy forum.

    Thanks and regards,
