Unable to install CGT for C2000 and c6000 in CCS

Hello all,

I have installed the latest release of the CGT file for C2000 it to the following path: C:\ti\ccsv6\tools\compiler. Then after adding  the same directory in the compilers' option (Windows>Preferences>Code Composer Studio>Build>Compilers) and then clicking on the refresh there seemed to be no new compiler added to the list. Is this the process i should be following or am i doing something wrong. Kindly help.

    I'm not familiar with the method you describe.  Please try the method described in this video.

    If that doesn't work out, then try one of the methods described in this wiki article.

    Hey George thank you for the link. As shown in the video (after clicking 'show more') the compiler for C2000 was not visible on my version of CCS but when i selected 'All' instead of 'Relevance' (in the drop-down beside the search option) all the add-ons became visible.

    Hey George,

    I have now tried installing the compiler for C2000 as given in the above video but no luck so far. After the installation I checked the compiler tab in the preference menu and it does not show C2000 compiler in the list. Is it due to the CCS version being used?

    Please use the method describe here for seeing which versions of the compiler are recognized by CCS.  What versions of the compiler do you expect to see?  How does that differ from what you actually see?

    Compiler version greater than 6.2.3 is required for my project. As per the method given in the above video after installing the C2000 compiler from the App Center a new folder is created in the following path C:\ti\ccsv6\tools\compiler with the filename as 'ti-cgt-c2000_16.6.0.STS'. After reopening CCS when I check the list of compilers installed (Windows>Preferences>Code Composer Studio>Build>Compilers) C2000 compiler is still not visible.

    So after that I uninstalled CCS and then selected all the required compilers (including C2000) in the setup process itself and everything seems to work fine now.
