CCS/EK-TM4C123GXL: Compdcm_mpu9150 (senshub) example won't compile in CCS7

Hi,

I imported the compdcm_mpu9150 example to the IDE in CCS7 and it won't compile on linking.

Errors are listed below. The library exists in the location but I'm unsure what an_FD Class is. Any ideas what may be causing this error???

As of TivaWare 2.1.4.178 the sensorlib.lib library was compiled using TI ARM compiler v5.2.6 and _FDclass is an internal function in the run-time library to support the isnan() macro which is used in the comp_dcm.c source file with the sensorlib.lib library.

If you attempt to compile an example using sensorlib.lib with a later v16.9.1.LTS then the linker reports an error about _FDclass being undefined, since between the compiler versions v5.2.6 and v16.9.1.LTS the implementation of the floating point classification functions has changed and the _FDclass function is no longer present.

The solution is to install the TI ARM v.5.2.6 compiler into CCS 7, and you can then compile the TivaWare sensorlib examples.

To install the TI ARM v5.2.6 compiler in CCS Help -> Install New Software, select "Code Generation Tools Updates" in the "Work with:" combo box and then select to install ARM Compiler Tools 5.2.6 :

Hello,

I tryied installing the software required but it says that I have a newer version so I can´t install it.

What can I do? Because I can´t run the example compdcm_mpu9150 because of it.

What version of the compiler do you have installed now? What version did you attempt to install? Please show, by copy-n-paste or by screen shot, the error message you get when the install fails.

My version of CCS is the latest version v7 and I attemped to install the version 5.2.6 for the programme example compdcm_mpu9510.

I will attach a photo of the errors.

The article Changing Compiler versions shows you how to install an older compiler (such as ARM version 5.2.6), and configure CCS to use it.

I cannot make the changes because it says that the version that I want to performance it is not currently installed, but when I try to install it I will upload the error.

ARM compiler version 5.2.9 also resolves the problem. That one will probably install with no problems.

It says that I have already installed but I can´t find on Properties->General->Compiler Version. In addition, I install from the link that you send me but it still doesn´t appear after rebooting the programme.

Might I install version 6 on CCS?

Finally, I have installed the version v6 and download and install the version 5.2.9 and it works in my CCSv7.

I don´t know why and how but it is fixed
