When will CCS include a GCC distribution that supports C++14 (GCC 5.2 or later)?

Josh,

We are definitely overdue to update our version of GCC. We typically align this with what our SDKs are using. Right now the plan is to update the version of GCC in our CCSv7.2 release. CCSv7.1 is due out the end of this month and 7.2 would follow 1 quarter later.

That is good to hear. Which version of GCC are you planning for CCSv7.2?

Still TBD but we might go all the way to 6.3

I don't know if it is officially supported, but did find that could manually install gcc-arm-none-eabi-6_2_2016q4 into a CCS 7.0 installation under the ccsv7/tools/compiler directory. CCS 7 detected the presence of gcc-arm-none-eabi-6_2_2016q4 and let me change a Cortex-M4 project to use the GCC 6.2 compiler.
