Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler
The same code links in less then 30 seconds with v6.4.11 and takes around 7 minutes with the newer compiler versions. I have tried a couple of the new compilers and they are all slow.
How can I speed it up?

Please try upgrading to version 16.9.2.LTS. For details, please see the wiki article Compiler Releases. I cannot guarantee this fixes the problem. But I think your chances are good.

Thanks for trying. Sorry it didn't work out.
We don't know what could be wrong, so we need a test case we can build in order to figure that out. Since this is a linker issue, we need everything. Is your code organized as a CCS project? If so, then please follow the directions in the wiki article Project Sharing to create a zip file, then attach that to your next post.
Thanks and regards,

George,
For obvious reasons I cannot post our company IP on the public forum. I will send it to you in a private message.
Thanks,
Kevin

Here's how to do that. Float your mouse over my avatar, or screen name. A dialog box pops up. Click on Send a private message. The message compose interface that comes up includes a paper clip icon. Use that to attach the zip file.
Thanks and regards,
