I've read that .cio section contains _CIOBUF_, a buffer for stdio function like printf. I presume there's no need to initialize it to zero at the program start but I haven't found a clear statement about this issue.

I've read also the linker chapter in spru513 "TMS320C28x Assembly Language Tools User's Guide" (M revision) but .cio section isn't even named.

Have you got any suggestions?

I consulted the compiler user guide some weeks ago but I found the same information about .cio section: it's the section that contains _CIOBUF_.
After your hint I checked the document again but I didn't find further news.
