Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler
I have updated the C2000 Code Generation Tools to 18.1.1.LTS release on an XP SP3 machine, both using the Install New Software option in CCS Verision 6.1.3.00034 (as explained in processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Updating_CCSv6 both downloading it manually from TI website.
The new installed CGT release is not detected by Code Composer even when adding it manually using CCS preferences dialog. When launching the compiler from the command line I get the following error message:
cl2000.exe is not a valid Win32 application
I checked the executable signature and it's the one corresponding to x86 (i.e. 32 bit) architecture so it should work on Win32 machines too.
I get the same error with any other executable present in the CGT bin directory.
I understand that CCS support for Windows XP has been discontinued since Version 7.0. As I didn't find any information related to minimum system requirements for Code Generation Tools, I wonder if the XP support has been discontinued for CG Tools too. If that is the case, what is the latest C2000 CGT release that can reliably run on Windows XP SP3 machines?
Thank you in advance for the support.
