WEBENCH Clock Architect "Score"

Hi,

I would like to ask you a simple question of WEBENCH clock Architect.

After clock simultation, the tool shows us some solutions.

There is a "Score" item in the table. (Please check the file I attaced.)

Could you tell me what this is and how to caluculate it?

I do not understand it well and I would like to know how to use it.

Hi Takumi-san,

The score for each device is given on the basis of a combination of the cost, area, current, and jitter. The better the combined performance of the device, the lower will be the score. Unless you have a particular requirement that you are trying to optimize (like cost), choosing the solution with the lowest score will give you best overall performance.

"Lowest" is good solution, not "Highest", right

Yes, lowest is better in this case.
