TINA-TI: transient simulation with swept parameter fails

Can you provide an example .TSC file that I can debug? I have not seen this issue previously with using a swept parameter.

The node numbers out of range normally refers to a placed subcircuit that is instantiated thousands of times in a circuit and TINA-TI would not be able to solve the matrix in a reasonable amount of time.

Sure thing.  I have attached a simple parameter sweep simulation based on the TPS61020 Transient Steady State Reference Design (http://www.ti.com/product/tps61020#toolssoftware).

To reproduce the issue, try to run a transient simulation.

I am having the same problem with stepping the value of a resistor in the exact same version of TINA-TI as Jeff. I always get the "node number out of range" message no matter what I do and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I even isolated the portion of my design (see attached) to be sure that some other part of the circuit was not causing the problem with no luck.

This is currently a bug in the version that we have on the website. The bug has been fixed in a later version and we are trying to determine the best way to get the fix out.

Hi Britt, any news on releasing the fix?  I'm hitting apparently the same issue in AC sims any time I try to sweep more than one component at a time.  Linear sweep, log sweep, combinations thereof, parallel stepping, combinatorial stepping all fail with "Node number out of range".  This is pretty horrid as trivial tasks like looking at the interaction of two component tolerances require manual stepping of one of the components.  9.3.50.40.SF-TI is finding no updates for me.

The parameter stepping failure issue also occurs when I try to run a temperature analysis. What is the status of the fix?

I'm having the same issue. Has there been any update to this? I'm currently running version 9.3.50.40 SF_TI which was built on Feb 9th, 2012. I've checked the help menu and it reports that I'm up to date. I'm beginning to think that TINA-TI is no longer supported. Is this true?

Yes, we are aware of the problem. We do have a version of the tool where the issue is corrected, however, we have not yet placed the new version on the web for release.

TINA-TI is still supported and will continue to be supported.
