TINA-TI V9 update Error.

I have the same issue.  I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

I tired running as admin, and got the same error.  Even tried to reinstall as admin to no avail.  In fact, if I reinstall as an admin, I get a different error when trying to update; "XML document must have a top level element"

I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64bit as Admin. Update of TINA-TI is not possible. I get  an error message "INVALID ENUM VALUE" .

Is there any solution for that Problem ? Can I download the Update Software for manually Installation ?

I have the same problem, same conditions. I have tried a full uninstall new download and re-install. No change.

Is anyone from TI or design soft monitoring this forum??

Please kindly answer a few questions below

1) Can you tell what version of Windows (7, 8, 32 vs 64 bit etc.) you use and to what language (English, German, etc.) is it set?

2) The update consists of several steps. Could you describe what happens until you get the error message or in other words at which phase does the error happen.?

3) When the update windows comes up up you see several checkboxes. Did you select all?

I am running windows 7 professional 64 bit in English, fully updated.

I run the "check for updates" from the help menu, the update window comes up with a list of  4 available updates, sub versions 10, 11.12, 13. All the version boxes are pre-checked.

I follow the instructions to first close Tina before continuing to install updates.  When I select the update button I get the "invalid enum value", I select the OK and this repeats 4 times. 

I have tried un-ticking the updates to attempt 1,2 3, or 4  of the updates listed in all possible combinations.

I've tried running as administrator with no change in the problem.

I have seen reports of this same issue on other websites.

We could finally reproduce the problem. It turned out that the issue is caused by a bug in IE 11 for Windows 7. Unfortunately thee are quite a few bugs in IE11  http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2349415/internet-explorer-gets-59-bug-fixes-in-microsofts-june-patch-tuesday

The update feature  works fine in Windows 8 using IE11 but enother version.

Not to my knowledge, there have been no updates to test with to see if the problem still exists. I have reverted to Explorer 11 but the update tab under Tina reports no update.

Hi John,

I'm on Windows 7, SP1. Internet Explorer 11.0.18. I had to follow the down grade IE, then re-install IE11. If there is a better path then this E2E thread should be updated. With that I got the update to work, but it is a major pain and waste of time that the update function hasn't been fixed. I don't look forward to having to downgrade again in the future to update TI TINA.

TINA installed and updated successfully earlier today on my Dell desktop using Win7 Professional w/SP1 and IE11 version 11.0.9600.17728, Update version 11.0.18.

No reported error messages or warnings appeared during the install out of IE, or during the autoupdate after installation.

For what it is worth, the config I gave didn't update yesterday and I had the errors listed in this thread. Once I downgraded IE it worked. Since there is nothing new to update in TINA at this point I cannot comment how the combination works now that TINA has been updated. Scott

In the latest uploaded version of TINA-TI 9.3.100 the "INVALID ENUM VALUE" issue has been fixed and it works with IE11.
I have sent John an updated update.exe file which, if copied into the previous TINA-TI 9.3.50 program folder, it solves the ENUM problem so you can update to the latest version.

I installed the available version (your link) and got the 9.3.50 version from 2014 with the same enum error.

Do you have a link for the 9.3.100 version ?

I've just downloaded TINA-TI English version from TI website. This  is the top link at page  www.ti.com/tina-ti

I've installed it and it is definitely v9.3.100.244 SF-TI

Please download the latest TINA-TI installer from http://ww.ti.com/tool/tina-ti.
If you are willing to replace your older version of TINA-TI, select Maintain or update the instance of this application selected below: at the beginning of the installation, followed by Repair/Reinstall all program features installed by the previous setup.

This will reinstall TINA-TI, replacing the older version with the current version (9.3.100.244 SF-TI). I just tried it and it works fine.

If you want to keep your older version, you can install the current version while keeping your older version.
To do this, select Install a new instance of this application. When you get to the Choose Destination Panel, use the Browse button to create a new installation folder.
This will install a new instance of TINA-TI while allowing your old version to still be available.

There is one more option if you don't want to install the current version of TINA-TI.

You can replace the UPDATE.EXE file in your existing TINA-TI home directory with the one attached to this thread (after unzipping).
This should fix the problem with updating the library files. I tried it yesterday and it worked fine.
